Richard Kaplan is a partner in the Beverly Hills firm of Kaplan Marino, A.P.C. He attended Pepperdine University School of Law. He has been in criminal defense private practice since his graduation in 1987. He has tried cases State and Federal Court. He has handled allegations including but not limited to Insurance Fraud, Medicare Fraud, Murder, Robbery, Embezzlement, Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes, Environmental Crimes, White Collar Crimes, Multi-Kilo Narcotic Cases, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol as well as Asset Forfeiture Matters. Clients have included Professional Athletes, Entertainment Industry Professionals, Doctors and Lawyers. All cases are personally handled with confidentially and discretion. Mr. Kaplan is a past president of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Barristers, and served on the BHBA board until 2001. He is a Past Chair of the State Bar Executive Committee of the Solo and Small Firm Section. He is the co-chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Criminal Law Section. He has spoke on criminal law and related matters at the State Bar annual meeting, local bar events and at local colleges.
