Ms. Benedict has represented in excess of 200 clients on appeal and has argued cases at all levels of California's legal system, including the California Supreme Court. Prior to opening her law office, Ms. Benedict worked as a staff attorney with Appellate Defenders, Inc. Appellate Defenders, Inc., administers the appointed counsel program for the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District. As a staff attorney, Ms. Benedict received extensive training on how to effectively present arguments to California's Court of Appeal. Additionally, while working at ADI, Ms. Benedict was responsible responsible for supervising the work of other appellate attorneys in addition to maintaining her own appointed appellate cases.
